Start here
Tamra runs your business in one place: quotes and invoices, purchases and bills, the bank, the books, stock, people and payroll. This chapter gets you oriented in ten minutes. Everything after it assumes you know what's here.
Signing in
Open the app and sign in with the email and password your administrator gave you. If you belong to more than one company, the company picker in the top bar shows which one you are working in — click it to switch. Everything you see, and everything you do, belongs to the company shown there.
Forgot your password? Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. Your administrator can also reset it from Settings → Users & Roles.
The home screen
Home greets you and gives you the day at a glance:
- Your Day — Mind (a place to drop a thought before it escapes), Tasks & Reminders, and the Agenda for the next seven days, which already knows about invoices falling due and deliveries scheduled.
- The numbers — on Today, under your day: cash on hand, revenue this month against last month, net margin over 90 days, what customers owe you and how much is overdue, money in and out for the next eight weeks, and what needs you — drafts, overdue invoices, bills due this week, low stock, your top customer's share and the sales trend.
- Tabs across the top — Today (your day: what happened while you were away, Mind, Tasks & reminders, the Agenda — and under them The business today: cash on hand, revenue this month, net margin, what customers owe, money in and out for the next eight weeks, the receivable pie, and Needs you as numbers, each with a button to act), Cash Radar (what you're owed and what you owe, aged), Smart insight (the year's figures, two charts, and what they mean in plain sentences), and Apps (the launcher, in whatever order suits you). The company activity feed lives in Settings → Activity log.
Finding your way
The left rail lists the areas of the app: Sales, Purchase, Books, Expenses, Manufacturing, MRO, Scribe, Docs, Inventory, POS, HR, CRM, Projects, Helpdesk, Chat, Calendar, and Settings. Click one and its own menu opens beside it — Sales, for example, holds Quotations, Sales Orders, Invoices, Customers, Products, Price Lists and Reports.
The top bar has the company picker, the date, a search icon, a calculator, notifications, and your avatar. Recently opened documents sit in the middle as small chips — an invoice you were just looking at is one click away from anywhere.
Search (the magnifier, or press ⌘K) finds customers, vendors, products, documents and pages by name or number. Type INV-0013 or Dubai Workspace and go straight there.
Eagle, the owl in the bottom corner, is Tamra's assistant. Ask it a question about your numbers or about how something works — "which invoices are overdue?", "how do I apply an advance?" — and it answers from your live data and this guide.
Three ideas worth knowing
1. Every document has a life, and the app follows it
A quotation becomes a sales order, a delivery, an invoice, a payment. A purchase order becomes a receipt, a bill, a payment. Tamra keeps that chain: every document knows where it came from and what it led to. Press TRACE under a document's title to see its whole journey and jump to any step.
2. The header tells you what to do next
At the top right of any document there is one button with a filled circle — the next step. On a draft invoice it says Post Invoice; once posted, Record Payment; once paid, Send. Beside it: Send ▾ (print, email, e-invoice, payment link) and ⋯ for the rare things (credit note, unpost, duplicate). You never have to hunt for the right action.
3. Draft is free; Posted is real
Anything in Draft can be edited or deleted with no consequences. Posting is the moment a document becomes real: it takes its number, writes to the books, and locks. The lock badge next to the title tells you which state you are in. Made a mistake on a posted document? ⋯ → Unpost reverses it cleanly while nothing has been paid against it; after that, use a credit or debit note so the trail stays honest.
The little bar beside TRACE
On a posted invoice or bill a small bar shows how much of it has been settled — 20%, PAID. Hover for the numbers; click it to open the Payments tab, which lists every payment, advance and note that settled the document, each one a link into the books.
